Germany Develops New Recyclable Plastics for Packaging

In order to promote environmental protection, Germany has developed a new plastic for packaging that is economical and easy to recycle. It is a water-soluble polymer that is based on two monomers, styrene and free radical acrylics. It is said that this new type of plastic is as economical and easy to recycle as paper and cardboard.

At present, researchers are starting trials of new materials and use them as containers. After use, they can also be used as intermediate adhesive layers for labels, protective films, packaging, and composite products.
