Development of aerosol production in China
In the early 1980s in China, insecticide aerosols and aerosol products were introduced to the market, which were generally welcomed by people and promoted the vigorous development of the aerosol industry. China's aerosol production increased from about 30 million cans (bottles) in the mid-1980s to about 560 million cans (bottles) in 2000, an increase of more than 18 times in 15 years, and the rate of increase is impressive.
China has introduced and put into production nearly 40 tinplate aerosol can production lines, 11 aluminum aerosol production lines, more than 10 aerosol valve production lines, and more than 200 aerosol spraying lines. In addition, it also owns a batch of domestic or modified production lines, has a strong mechanical manufacturing capabilities, can design, produce canning equipment and aerosol filling equipment.
Propellant improvement
Propellants are the energy source for aerosol products. In addition to medicinal/medical aerosols and some essential uses, China has banned the use of CFCs as aerosol propellants since December 31, 1997. At present, LPG and DME are mainly used as propellants, and a small number of products use compressed gases such as N2 and CO2, or alternatives such as HFC-152a and HFC-134a.
China's aerosol-grade LPG comes from two sources: natural gas purification and refining and petroleum pyrolysis gas refining. The supplier of purified natural gas is represented by Zhongyuan Oilfield, with an aerosol grade LPG production capacity of 20,000 tons/year; another part of LPG is derived from the cracked gas via desulfurization, hydrogenation and rectification, among which Shanghai SCAL's Products represented. The annual output is 10,000 tons.
China produces a lot of methanol, and DME has received attention as one of the outlets for methanol. At present, several domestic manufacturers of methanol-catalyzed processes for the production of DME have product levels, impurities, and methanol and water levels up to aerosol-level requirements, with Guangdong Kaida as its representative, with a production capacity of 8 kt/yr. Use level.
So far, China has used HFC-152a, an expensive propellant for its very few aerosol products, but at least four companies in Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Shandong have produced such propellants that are not classified as VOCs. Up to 6,000 tons.
Container status
Tinplate aerosol cans account for about 80% of Chinese aerosol containers. China has a large number of tinplate aerosol can manufacturing enterprises, which are particularly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Haihe River Delta in coastal areas.
Aluminum cans production lines are mainly concentrated in Guangdong and Shanghai. There are seven introduction lines in Guangdong and four production lines in Shanghai. The current development and production of small aluminum can production lines are highly characteristic. The printing, inner coating, sealing, pressure resistance, and corrosion resistance of the products have reached international standards, filling the gaps in the lack of small-diameter aluminum aerosol cans in China.
PET containers have been developed as containers for aerosol products such as oxygen cans and insecticides.
Aerosol valve condition
At present, there are more than 10 aerosol valve manufacturers in China. They are classified into three types: foreign-funded enterprises, domestic large-scale enterprises with imported production lines, and domestic small and medium-sized enterprises using domestic equipment.
