Kyushu space to explain the maintenance of the slurry flow meter

Proper maintenance of the slurry flow meter is essential for ensuring accurate measurements and prolonging the life of the device. To maintain its performance, always store the instrument and its accessories in a well-organized case, except for the measuring rod, in a dry and well-ventilated area. This helps prevent moisture damage and keeps all components secure.
Before using the instrument, it's important to thoroughly read the user manual. Familiarize yourself with the internal structure and the correct procedures for cleaning and disassembling. If you are not confident in your ability to handle the equipment, avoid disassembling it on your own to prevent accidental damage.
After each use, make sure to clean the instrument thoroughly. Wash it with water, then dry it and apply the recommended lubricant to keep moving parts functioning smoothly. Regular maintenance after every measurement ensures the device remains in optimal condition.
During operation, if you notice any looseness in the rotating parts or an increased gap between the front bushing and the frame, stop the device immediately. Inspect it carefully and reassemble it if necessary. Two common causes could be: (1) A loose pressure cap causing the bearing to become unstable. In this case, the instrument should be disassembled and reassembled properly. (2) An improperly tightened solid shaft screw, which allows the propeller to move axially. In this situation, simply adjust the position and tighten the screw securely.
If the inner cavity of the propeller is dry, do not attempt to disassemble the bearing. Instead, clean it gently using gasoline. This helps remove dirt without damaging the internal components.
When cleaning the bearing, always use a soft, small clock brush. Avoid using hard brushes, as they can scratch the smooth surface of the bearing, affecting its performance over time.
While in use, the bearing should be regularly cleaned and lubricated. For long-term storage, check the device every six months and reapply lubricant. If rust is detected, clean it immediately. If the damage is severe and cannot be repaired, send the unit back to the factory for professional servicing and recertification.
