A little over a month ago, we shared the story of an Australian man named Alex Czech who 3D printed a full-body exoskeleton. Initially, his goal was to create a universal joint, but as he experimented with different mechanisms, he eventually came up with a futuristic mechanical exoskeleton that could support human movement.

Fast forward to today, and Czech has taken the project even further by developing a 3D-printed arm exoskeleton. It looks like he's on a mission to build a complete set of artificial bones—something reminiscent of the sci-fi movie *Elysium*, where Matt Damon’s character uses advanced exosuits. However, creating a full exoskeleton requires more than just passion; it demands time, resources, and continuous innovation.

For Czech, this project is driven entirely by his passion for 3D printing, which is also his side hustle outside of his main job in investor relations. The arm exoskeleton consists of 13 individual parts, each carefully designed and printed.

Like his previous hand exoskeleton, this new arm model is fully 3D printed, except for the screws and washers. He used a UP Plus 2 3D printer from the Tale era for the project. If you're interested in building your own, you can download the design files from Czech’s website—but it comes at a cost of around $19.67. He described this latest version as the result of just a few hours of trial and error.

Czech recommends using ABS material for the best results, citing its comfort and durability. One unique feature is that the palm section is detachable and can be used independently, making it more versatile for different tasks. With each iteration, Czech continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with 3D printing and wearable technology.
