The woman who has it all gets her California dreamhouse, thanks to the HGTV team and their designer duels. Fun, fashion, and style come together in this vibrant project, with Shelfology’s colorful storage solutions providing the finishing touch to give everyone’s favorite plasticine blonde bombshell a place to call home. We’re thrilled to showcase the Shelfology brand on HGTV’s Barbie’s Dreamhouse Challenge, alongside some of our favorite looks from this pinkalicious project. This inviting exterior is bright and fresh, with pops of signature pink and teal. It’s like “Saved by the Bell†and the Fresh Prince collaborated to create the coolest house on the block. We can’t wait to step inside and see what this space holds! Geometric patterns dominate this playful entry to the dreamy space. Bold colors add a touch of whimsy, while simple furniture silhouettes keep the area clean and fresh. The colors truly take center stage here. Have you ever thought about using an Aksel floating shelf as an entryway console? We love it! The bold colors continue into the dining room, where the designers have added splashes of paint and built-in seating, transforming the eat-in space into a cozy nook. Crystal chairs and bold furniture stand out, and the art and patterns scream “Trapper Keeper†and “Let’s go to the mall!â€â€”bringing back serious nostalgia. Our favorite seating spot in this room? The unexpected bold orange bench in the bay window. This retro kitchen pays homage to the kitchen modernism of the 60s, blending sherbet pastels with bright pops of orange and pink that tie in beautifully with the dining space. Our little Lloyd hangs from the ceiling in aqua blue, offering open shelves for easy access to the adjacent room. The soft, buttery tones of the fridge, oven, and range evoke warm memories of casseroles and grandma’s cooking. One of the best design surprises? The futuristic pop-ups that save space on the island and nod to the innovation of the era. This cozy room feels fresh yet timeless, with polka dots adding a fun twist. The couch, covered in plaid pastels, makes us think of snuggling up with our very own Kens. And let’s not forget Barbie’s core achievement on display: astronaut. As Julia Roberts once said, “My colors are ‘Blush’ and ‘Bashful.’†Barbie’s bedroom takes this to heart with pastels in pink vs. pink, complemented by light tones. For us, the bed draped with hanging panels is giving those ‘Yasss, queen’ vibes that really steal the show here. Not everyone has as many wigs as Ken (Did you know he had a penchant for hair-pieces?). If you do, consider Aksel inlaid with metal for a pop of color and core magnetism to hold your precious hairs in place. One question remains: what will static electricity do with Ken’s hair as he relaxes on the blue velvet couch? Change is inevitable, and in this case, inescapably chic, as patterned wallpapers transport us back to the original 1950’s toy designs and drawings. Displays around the room showcase Barbie through the years, and the lounge chair provides a place to rest and think. That tufted round pillow? Yes, tres jolie! Very Parisian. A fashion icon with a fishtank in her office? Mais oui. Cher Horowitz may have the best automated closet in Beverly Hills, but we all know where she got the idea! This closet is built with all the space and storage needed for a very busy leading lady. For an understated decor fashion statement, check out the Barbie-toile pillows. Googling that pattern now… To us, the most legitimately “dream-housey†of the dream house spaces. This homage really does justice to the iconic plastic dollhouse featuring the must-have slide and pool in purple and pink, a plethora of beach accessories, and enough palm trees to make any California girl happy.
