The components of ink or alcoholic ink include: toner, resin, amine, surfactant, solvent, etc .; and UV-curable ink contains toner, resin, surfactant, photoinitiator, diluent (a reaction form) Body, non-volatile). We can see the difference between UV ink and water-based ink. UV ink is bright in color, almost 100% solid content, non-volatile, and only cured when it encounters ultraviolet light with a certain wavelength and sufficient power. This short process of changing from liquid to solid is called solidification. It is different from drying. Drying refers to the process in which the volatile solvents (water, alcohol) contained in the ink evaporate from the ink under the action of the outside world (heat, infrared, etc.), and the remaining part slowly becomes solid.

The UV light source used in the flexo printing machine is an ultraviolet curing system, which is generally composed of three parts: a light box (lamp, mirror, etc.) power controller and operation panel. When the high-voltage electricity passes through the UV lamp, the lamp tube will emit ultraviolet light, infrared light, visible light and so on. Generally, the temperature of the UV lamp tube will be very high during operation, which will cause the film material to shrink and affect the accuracy of the overprint. It is particularly unsuitable for some heat-sensitive materials, so the cold UV technology came into being. Cold UV uses a dichroic mirror, which can reflect ultraviolet light and absorb infrared (heat), in addition, a transparent cooling plate is added between the light source and the substrate. Cold UV technology can reduce heat by up to 80%, ensuring that the surface temperature of the substrate does not exceed 45 degrees. The cold UV technology not only solves the problem of ink adhesion, but also avoids the problem of overprint accuracy caused by the thermal shrinkage of the film material.

EB curing technology is similar to ultraviolet curing, and the ink is cured quickly after being irradiated with a certain degree of electron beam. Due to the high application cost of EB curing, it has not yet been widely popularized.

Quick replacement technology

The rapid replacement technology referred to here has been extended to include rapid replacement of ink and anilox rollers, rapid replacement of printing plates, impression cylinders, and die cutters. Using rapid replacement technology can greatly shorten the time required for each process link, minimize the downtime preparation time, and improve the utilization efficiency of the machine.

Quickly replace the anilox roller and ink cleaning technology. Generally, a drawer structure is used to pull out the anilox roller and the ink tray together. Remove the anilox roller. After cleaning the ink roller and the ink tray, you can put a new anilox Roller and ink. Quick change of printing plate refers to the rapid replacement of printing plate after completing an order under the same size of plate cylinder but different plate. During the printing of the previous order, the printing plate of the latter order has been pasted onto the sleeve outside the line. When changing, each color printing plate only needs two or three minutes. The rapid replacement of the impression cylinder technology is to increase the printing range of the flexo printing machine, which can not only introduce film, but also print paper and thick paper. In the past, replacing a set of impression cylinders was quite troublesome. With the rapid replacement technology, it is only necessary to remove a few screws to remove one impression cylinder, and it takes only half an hour to replace a whole set of impression cylinders.

In terms of rapid replacement of die-cutting tools, it is said that Chromas uses in-line laser die-cutting technology, which can transfer the data entered in advance and execute it, which can complete the replacement work, which is convenient and fast. At present, this technology has been successfully applied to the processing of self-adhesive labels.

Shaftless drive and servo drive technology

For the unit-type flexo printing machine, perhaps everyone is familiar with a long, segmented main drive shaft behind the machine. When the number of printing units is increasing or the width is increasing a lot, the main transmission shaft will inevitably produce large distortion due to the increase of load, which will seriously affect the accuracy of multi-color overprinting.

With the rapid development of motor and control technology, shaftless transmission and servo drive have become possible. The independent printing unit is driven by a separate motor to ensure that the relative position of the plate cylinder of each unit is accurate, and to ensure that the tension of the whole machine is stable. Thereby improving the overprint accuracy of multi-color printing and avoiding the "ink stick" phenomenon caused by vibration. In addition, the range of printing paper for each machine will be further expanded, from film to thick cardboard. The servo drive technology can also expand the application range of the flexo printing machine, such as repeat printing length, the first unit can print the first 450mm of the required repeat length 900mm, and the second unit can print the remaining 450mm.

PLC control and remote diagnosis service system

The convenient man-machine interface and menu-type commands make the control faster and more efficient. Once the machine breaks down, the system displays the error information in time, instructs the operator or maintenance personnel to find the fault point as soon as possible, and can eliminate the fault as quickly as possible and reduce downtime. Other technologies
