Epson develops the world's thinnest electronic paper thickness of only 0.096mm

According to the Japan Economic News, Seiko Epson has developed the world's thinnest e-paper. According to reports, this e-paper thickness is only 0.096 mm and the pixel is 192 dpi (points per inch). The e-paper is 2.1 inches in size and weighs 0.44 grams. The paper added that such electronic paper can be used to make e-books or bulletin boards.

Compared with LCDs and PDPs, electronic paper has many advantages such as power saving, thinness, flexibility, and the like, and can realize the ubiquitous dream of portable electronic products. At present, the applications of electronic paper include smart cards, electronic labels, e-books, electronic maps, shopping mall bulletin boards, etc. As the technology becomes more and more mature, it is expected that the future applications will be further expanded.
