System device for automatically processing plastic bottles

Motion Controls Robotics, Inc. (Fremont, Ohio) developed an automatic handling device for PET blow-molded bottles. The device, named SUBTA, has the ability to remove plastic bottles in their upright position. The device can be connected in series with the blowing machine and can perform a series of PET bottle automated processing procedures, such as removing the plastic bottle from the coating device, leak detection, packing, large batch pallet stacking, etc. . The SUBTA system serves as a pick-up unit that can grip plastic bottles and place them upright on a conveyor belt. The system combines ease of use, increased throughput, reduced cost, flexibility, portability, precision, program-controlled operation, durability, and repeatability.

The system can be rolled away from molding equipment to facilitate the replacement and loading of molds. Thanks to the simple joystick control program, the entire operation process has an intuitive effect. A conveniently opened access door is provided on a mechanism part that grips a plastic bottle, which facilitates timely adjustment of the mechanism. After a simple tool adjustment, plastic bottles with a certain angle or taper change can be processed. The operation panel has the function of adjusting the system or the operation error indication function. Compared with most other types of molding equipment, the application of this system can shorten the processing cycle, and can cut up to two operators per shift, thereby reducing the risk of possible injury and compensation costs.
