Corrugated paperboard and carton are the most widely used packaging products in the world. The amount used in 2000 has reached 100 million tons, but most of the carton factories in China have not been scaled up. Therefore, quality fluctuations are common.
In China, the basis for controlling and evaluating the quality of cartons is: "GB/T 6543-1986 Corrugated cartons for packaging containers, inspection industry standards SN/T 0262-1993 inspection regulations for corrugated cartons, GB/T 16717-1996 heavy duty corrugated cartons" Etc., as well as other military corrugated cartons, corrugated boxes for exported goods and other standards. It should be emphasized that national standards are not a high level of quality requirements, but merely the basic requirements that a carton should meet. In other words, meeting national standards does not prove that the quality of the carton is good. It can only be said to have just passed.
Carton is a basic packaging product. Its quality control involves a very wide range of fields. The control and requirements for carton quality are not only problems of the manufacturer, but also directly related to the user's requirements and use.
1. Thickness and thickness are one of the basic test items for corrugated cardboard. Whether the thickness can meet the requirements will directly affect the side pressure strength and the compressive strength of the empty tank. If the thickness is not enough, the above two strengths can not meet the requirements, and eventually they may collapse or collapse during the process of stacking the packages. The phenomenon is very serious. The factors that affect the thickness can be roughly divided into two aspects: First, the problem of creping, corrugating roll wear, contamination, bad wetting of the crepe paper, insufficient heating temperature, etc. can cause collapse, running, and fleas to directly affect the thickness. The second is the cardboard printing, printing pressure is too large, the printing roller spacing is insufficient, the printing area is too large, will cause the thickness loss; Third, the gap adjustment in corrugated paper bonding process is too small.
2. Adhesive Strength Adhesive strength is also a basic indicator of the performance of the paperboard. If the bond strength is not enough, the paper, core paper or liner will separate from the crepe paper after compression, affecting the overall structure and resulting in compression of the empty container. The strength and stacking strength decrease exponentially.
There are also many reasons for the lack of adhesive strength. Adhesive strength, adhesive pressure, adhesive pressure, oversized adhesive, too small, dry time, improper temperature, etc. can affect the adhesive strength.
3. Quantitative selection of multi-layer papers with different choices of multi-layer paper in corrugated paperboard will have different impacts on the strength of the carton. In the actual detection process, we found that if the core paper has high quantification under the same conditions, , Will increase the side pressure strength, but also directly reflected in the compressive strength of the carton, it can be seen, the core paper beads quantitative carton strength has a greater impact.
4. The production of cartons and the use of cartons is not only a problem for cartons, it also has a very important relationship with the user's reasonable requirements. There are also some issues that deserve our attention in the design and use of cartons.
The first is to open the hole, many manufacturers choose to open the hole in the carton structure in order to facilitate the customer's handling, but it is worth noting that the size and shape of the hole will greatly affect the overall strength of the carton, according to experience, with As the openings increase, the greater the number of corrugated cuts on the paper, the faster the compressive strength decreases. In order to compensate for the loss of structural strength, it is necessary to increase the amount of paper for the carton, thereby increasing the cost. Therefore, if it is not necessary to select the open structure as much as possible, even if the opening is made, a small round hole into which only a finger can be inserted should be selected. This is followed by the problem of carton stacking. After the product is packaged and put into a warehouse for storage, there will be various stacking methods, such as: tile-type stacking, well-type stacking, cross-stacking, etc. Different stacking methods It will also cause a change in the compressive strength of the carton. Followed by the special requirements of the carton quality, in the test process in recent years, we clearly realized that the existing carton standards are not comprehensive enough to fully reflect the problems encountered during the use of the carton. In order to find the cause of the damage, it is possible to solve the problem in a targeted way. After many tests in the central laboratory, this kind of product is reproduced. Damage found carton performance, pedal test, drop test no problem, but after the vibration test, re-perform foot pedal test, the proportion of damage reproduction exceeds 90%, at the same time, carton performance test can no longer meet the requirements of national standards, a The decline of some indicators even exceeds 50%. The vibration is not directly related to the detection of the carton. It is an important part of the transport performance test of the package, but from this case we can realize that as a carton user, it should be from their own products. Based on the actual situation, it proposes to effectively protect the quality requirements of the product.
There is also another problem in that the packaging of exported products cannot meet the quality requirements of the ordering party, and the most important issue is concentrated on a kind of test project for clamping. This test is based on the fact that many loading and unloading operations in foreign countries are accomplished using forklift trucks that hold products from both sides. Most cartons produced by enterprises only pay attention to the compressive strength in the up and down direction, and rarely consider the front, rear, left and right directions.
