Japan launches world's first all-intermeshing contract rotary four-screw extruder

Plastics Association news, Japan introduced the world's first all-intermeshing contract rotary four-screw extruder. Japanese extruder manufacturer TechnovelCorp. The company introduced its all-in-one co-rotating four-screw extruder known as the world's first to the North American market. According to people from Technovel, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, the recycling and nanocomposite markets have a demand for composite materials mixing technology. To seize this opportunity, the company started to develop this new machine. Yoshito Matsusaka, the company’s overseas sales manager, said that machine development took two years and that it had been sold in Japan for three years. Now the company is beginning to make the machine into the North American market. He said that the screw diameter of the machine is 15mm, but the company hopes to further expand its diameter. Technovel said that this machine has many advantages, such as reducing the self-heating of materials in processing, improving exhaust performance and dispersion. Matsusaka said that the machine has an extremely high torque and the material mixing capacity is three times that of a twin-screw extruder. Technovel has 20 employees and all machine production is done in Japan.
