In the actual cutting work, the operator should take care to eliminate the influencing factors and minimize the cutting error.

1. Inspection of cutting quality

After the cutting is completed, four inspections are performed on the paper basket:

1 whether the overall size and specifications meet the requirements;

2 whether the adjacent two cutting lines are vertical;

3 whether the cutting surface is smooth, whether there is a knife;

4 Whether there is inconsistency in the upper and lower dimensions of the paper basket (ie, the upper and lower blades).

2. Analysis of factors affecting the quality of cutting

Whether the cutting size of the paper is acceptable, and whether the cutting surface is smooth is closely related to the height of the paper stack, the geometry of the cutting knife, the sharpness of the cutting edge, the pressure of the paper press, the type and the moisture content of the paper, and the working state of the paper cutter.

(1) Height of paper basket

As the stack height increases, the cutting size error will increase. Because the paper basket is too high, the pressure of the paper press is increased accordingly, the paper cutting force is increased, the bending deformation of the paper basket is increased, and the cut paper tray is prone to appearing short and long. Therefore, the height of the stack is preferably controlled below 100mm.

(2) Blade sharpness

The blade is sharp, the resistance of the paper file to the knife is small, the cutting product is neat, the incision is smooth, the blade wears, the cutting quality and speed will be reduced, and if there is a pattern with uneven upper and lower incisions (sword flowers), The knife should be changed in time.

(3) Platen pressure

The paper press must be pressed along the cutting line of the paper, otherwise the cropped paper will have mushroom edges.

The platen pressure should be adjusted according to the type of paper being cut, the height of the paper cassette, the sharpness of the blade, and other factors.

When cutting different types of paper, choose the appropriate pressure and blade sharpening angle. When cutting soft and thin paper, the pressure of the paper press should be larger. Otherwise, the paper on the upper layer will be warped and deformed, resulting in the phenomenon that the paper after cutting will appear short and long; the hard and smooth paper will be cut. The pressure should be smaller and the pressure is too great. When cutting, the blade is easy to deviate from the small pressure side, resulting in the phenomenon that the cut paper is short and long; when cutting hard paper, the cutting resistance is large, and the blade edge The grinding angle should be larger so as not to cause the phenomenon that the lower part of the paper box is not cut.

(4) Paper moisture content

When the moisture content of the paper is normal (7% to 8%), the cutting accuracy is high. If the moisture content changes, the friction between the papers increases, which affects the cutting accuracy.

(5) Cutter Condition

The parallelism, height, and verticality between the cutter and the workbench, the parallelism between the work surface of the feeder and the cutting line, and the verticality of the workbench all affect the cutting quality. When installing and maintaining the cutter, adjustments should be made. accurate.
